  • Inner Child Work ~ The Retrieval of Love

“Fairy stories serve as a stepping-stone between worlds of imagination and real-life lessons.” ~ Isha Lerner ~ from Inner Child Cards Are you an Earth Orphan? Sometimes lonely, though surrounded by loving people? Magnetic and joyful, yet oddly melancholic for no apparent reason? Loved as a loyal friend, family member and confident leader, yet secretly feel disconnected from the norms of everyday society. If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then you may be an Earth Orphan? Symbolically, we are all Orphans. When the cosmic umbilical is severed at birth, we become a participant of earthly existence. The Universal Mother Womb is indeed our ultimate birther. We are made of Her stars, planetary dust, and heavenly particle. Upon our birth, our earthly family, gender, and genetics make up the karmic material of incarnation. These factors, including environmental influences, creates the framework for the soul to do good work; to fulfill a destiny. I love this quote from the original tale of Beauty and the Beast, ‘A Broken Heart is an Open Heart.’ Fairy tales are made to lift the spirit by sharing treasured wisdom. As we explore our human emotion through fairy tales, myth and archetype, evolution through suffering may be the very way we retrieve love, compassion and empathy. As I studied and researched the essence of fairy tale lore and it’s mystical meaning, I came to understand the significance of repeated characters in a story, be it the wicked witch, princess, prince, huntsman, and so on. They symbolize raw and powerful fractals of oneself, mirrored aspects of the initiations we face throughout a lifetime. Within the context of tarot and fairy tale myth we find three major steps toward Soul Healing. These three stages are found within the twenty-two Major Arcana tarot cards and within fairy tale lore. They depict the organic transformations an individual will experience during momentous shifts of consciousness and maturation. One, Birth, (the orphan stage), Two, Initiation, (work of the soul), and Three, Enchantment, (liberation, freedom, and awakening). The first stage, Birth, is represented in most fairy tale stories as an ‘orphaned birth,’ and represented as the ‘Fool’ or ‘Hero’s Journey,’ number zero, in the Major Arcana. The orphaned birth is paramount; it urges growth when the process of individuation must begin. It invites one to explore expression through authenticity. The seed of genius, the magic of the genie, is planted within the garden of imagination. Events in stories, or, in real life, when we are lost, abandoned, or within the embrace of suffering, prompts us to find our 'own way.' The pursuit must be earnest, and to succeed, a willingness to endure future tasks is paramount. The second phase, Initiation, fosters an active pursuit to seek inner nourishment through courage and willingness. In whatever manner the fragments of a shattered past have hardened or paralyzed the soul force, in this phase, the energy must be softened, reshaped, and made conscious. The tasks of Initiation are then rendered through service. The ‘work of soul;’ urges resolution, resolve, and understanding. The third stage is Enchantment. This is the final breakthrough. At this stage, divine intervention and miraculous potential takes over. The individual has recognized and resolved the odds that had been stacked against them from past karmic patterns, childhood trauma, and limitations through fear and judgment. This process breaks a spell, or curse, that had resided within the unconscious. The individual is offered a gift of rebirth and revelation! In fairy tales, the Enchantment phase is represented by the appearance of a genie, a frog turning into a prince, a loving kiss that awakens a sleeping princess from one hundred years of sleep, and so many other magical events that reshape reality. As consciousness awakens, and as we find new forms of love and nourishment, a growing hunger for ‘enchantment’ or ‘rebirth’ knocks upon the door of the Soul. And, Once Upon a Time, a new chapter begins. A creative relationship with The Inner Child or Original Self is restored. This is a beautiful stepping stone toward the Retrieval of Love. • Shooting Star: Enhance your Genius

Shooting Star expands my role, So I may truly unite, With the memory of my star-bright soul, And my mission of cosmic light. Shooting Star is a spring flower. It can be found growing in meadows and other wild areas where the soil is rich and fertile and there is an abundance of water. This beautiful little flower resembles a star or comet zooming to earth-hence, its name. As a flower essence, Shooting Star is most beneficial to those who feel alienated from the numerous aspects of earthly existence-and suffer deeply for it. Many were the so called ‘black sheep’ of their families, and report a decided lack of affinity with their familial roots. Like the Shooting Star, they possess a highly sensitive disposition and thrive only in very refined environments. The essence re-patterns the soul force and reconnects them to their true, cosmic origins. Once they have remembered their true identity, place of origin, and destiny, these weary wanderers are finally able to embrace earthly existence, as well as to offer their special gifts to the more earth-bound beings in their midst. At last, their evolution, their experiences in the human realm become fuel for their own evolution, as the daily spectacle of human confusion and suffering awakens their tender hearts to love and compassion. This can be a wonderful remedy for the children who have had an especially traumatic birth and are mightily resisting their earthly incarnation. Many of these souls are, in fact, star beings seeking a way to usher in the unique flights of spirit they have carried with them from other worlds. The flower’s archetypal signature is the Star Child. This influence exists in children as well as adults. As I work with clients in need of Shooting Star it is often revealed that there is something highly unusual and uniquely wonderful about this person, some rare combination of qualities and interests that make for a special gift. Along with this gift often comes suffering, associated with feelings of invisibility at the deepest level, combined with a potent longing to be truly seen and affirmed. Shooting Star has proven itself an excellent remedy for the individual suffering in this way, perhaps because like the starship-shaped flower, he or she seems to have zoomed into the Earth realm for some very special reason. This essence offers a potent reminder and celebration of one’s distant origins and unique perceptions and talents. • Happy New Moon!

Happy New Moon and a Blessed Wish for All! I must say, this is a most enchanting era! In fairy tale mythology the word ‘enchantment’ is analogous with “a state of being under a spell,” and “a world of mystery and enchantment.” I believe we are in such times! Within a fairy tale story, the stage of Enchantment represents the divine intervention of miraculous potential that happens once the individual has resolved the odds stacked against them from past karmic patterns and evolutionary lessons. This catalytic phase occurs when an individual has earned a reward for their hard-won efforts toward transformation. Enchantment breaks a spell or curse (limitations, fears, shadow) that have lived within the unconscious, and when healed, one is offered the gift of a Rebirth. In fairy tales, this enchantment phase is often personified by the appearance of a genie, a frog turning into a prince, a loving kiss that awakens a sleeping princess from one hundred years of sleep, and so many other magical events that may reshapes reality. As our consciousness awakens with new possibility and nourishment, a growing hunger for ‘enchantment’ or ‘rebirth’ knocks upon the door of the Soul. Once the individual has moved beyond factors of limitation, the past may be understood and released. This pursuit beckons a call to greater awareness that allows growth and new blossoming, and rewards with empowerment within the authority of the Soul's Path. In my own unfolding work and research as a flower essence practitioner and producer, astrologer, and nature lover, I am in awe of the cosmic connections between Humanity, nature and the Molecular Evidence that we are One with the Universe. I am forever indebted to the great works of those who have dared to take giant leaps toward the furthering of consciousness. May it forever be so.

  • Full Moon 2022 Message

December 6th, 2022: The Full Yule or Cold Moon For moon watchers, this full moon is especially lovely, for it is visible above the horizon a long time as it makes its high, majestic arc across the heavens. Yet, it is also the Full Cold Moon, reminding us that we are deep in winter and all that winter implies. Summer’s excitements and fall’s rich colors are rapidly fading memories as the days grow short, the nights long. Those who suffer from light deprivation are especially susceptible to plunges in energy and mood. Depression, seasonal colds and flu can be unwelcome guests. It’s an auspicious time for hearty soups, stews and root vegetables packed with anti-oxidant, Gaia power. It’s time to make stock and take stock, and breathe ever more deeply into the grains of the earth. This full Cold Moon is alchemical, and you are the alchemist. It’s a perfect opportunity to go inward, rappelling down to the base of shadowy spirals where old wounds and disappointments await transformation. Alone in delicious caves, work fearlessly with the materials that are yours alone. Lie down on the fallen leaves, absorbing some of their energy in the midst of their own transformative journeys. Gaze up at the stars and know that you are one of them, of them. Feel the immense possibilities of your birthing life, and commit with joy to the service of your ruling goddess or god. We have all been unwelcome guests of our own making, and this is a good moon to take stock of that. “You are alone with the alone, and it is his move,” the poet Robert Penn Warren wrote, and this full moon evokes that awareness in us. You are called to gather yourself, renew and remake your intentions and energy. The Irish lullaby, The Castle of Dramore, includes these lines: A little rest, and then the world/Is full of work to do…Regroup, and be ready to step out into the long sunshine of days that are not far off. You are flowers, and you’ll soon be opening to offer exquisite essences to a world in need of healing from every quarter. May it be so!

  • October Full Moon in Aries: The Awakened Heart

The Aries Full Moon, October 9, is here to open the gates of the Heart and bridge suffering with compassion. Libra sun, opposite the moon, is conjunct Venus, symbolizing the archetypal value of Beauty and the Art of Loving. The Moon in Aries is conjunct Chiron (Chiron is known as the wounded healer because its energy offers wisdom that can come from our wounds.) It pioneers (Aries) an illumined passage, an opportunity to engage with relationships. Chiron teaches us to experience our wounds as secret portals into deeper understanding and compassion, higher intuition, greater knowledge, and even the potential to help heal and guide others. The truest message is Love in Action. There are many forms of Love. Might you explore Love through the light of this Full Moon? Ancient Greek philosophers identified six forms of love: familia love, friendly love, platonic love, romantic love (Philia), self-love, guest love (Xenia) and Divine Love, (Agape.) All forms of Love offer the possibility for surrender, a letting go, a teaching of forgiveness; and a pathway to Courage: a courage stemming from the deepest root of the Human Heart. How joyous then, to reconnect with renewed compassion; a reunion with the Consort of Loving Wisdom. This wisdom, however, is not ready-made; it is the result of the willingness and acceptance to Be Loved. As mentioned, Venus, the planet of love and relationships, is highly active under this Full Moon. Relationships are on the front burner. We need to pay attention to our connection with others. If we have known of something we can offer to our relationships, or perhaps carry more compassion for others, this Full Moon smiles upon you. Also, the harmonic tone of this Full Moon is felt through a powerful triangle configuration known as a Grand Trine, activated by the Sun, Saturn, and Mars. This formation helps one perfect skills, attain goals, and discover the beauty of form in action. Therefore, a hike, a bike ride, or bit of exercise can feel wonderfully satisfying in the coming days. As hot and fiery an Aries Moon can be, there is enough soothing, healing, and sweet energy to soften the energy of this Full Moon. In approximately two weeks, the moon will enter the New Moon Phase in the sign of Scorpio. This fertile transformational time rewards the good work of the past Full Moon, planting seeds of hope within the terrain of Love. More Beauty may blossom and your life can be Blessed. Be mindful of the inner work you have been doing and how it has informed a prompting within to share your gifts with others. May you Find Peace.

  • The Soul’s Code:Tarot, Fairy Tales, and Karmic Law

While researching and writing The Inner Child: A Fairy Tale Tarot, I was inspired by the profound connections between Tarot and fairy tale mysticism. While researching layer upon layer of hidden mysteries, I launched an earnest endeavor that has led me to a lifetime study and research into the Soul's Code, Incarnation and Destiny. Through the twenty-two Arcana cards, I've uncovered a pathway that leads to higher consciousness beginning with the Fool and ending with the World Card. This pathway reveals secrets of incarnation, karma, initiation, (hard work of the soul,) liberation, enchantment, and success. I discovered this same pathway to consciousness is found within the story-line of each unique Fairy Tale. Both, the journey through the Major Arcana Cards and the fairy tale mirror an evolutionary path toward revelation and evolution. For example, The Tower Card’s message suggests liberation from the past, often indicated with lighting flash insights. In Inner Child Cards we connected The Tower with the story Rapunzel that involves a fairy tale protagonist captured by an enchantress (the curse of incarnation) held captive within the tower walls (the initiation), then liberated from the Karmic Law of her Soul Contract, (alchemy and enchantment.) (We each have our own code at birth.) Ultimately, the interior of Rapunzel’s own awakening called forth sudden events; the cutting of her long braid, (the ego,) and her abandonment into the desert, (search for nourishment), where, stripped from all she had known, must find her way into her new world, (new perspectives and rebirth). We find this is true when we have entered “The Tower Phase” of life perhaps influenced by transformational planetary alignments from Uranus, Neptune or Pluto. As time progressed working many years with clients, the tarot, and karmic astrology, (Power Mapping) I discovered a three-fold pattern held within a fairy tale, the birth chart of an individual, and the twenty-two Major Arcana cards can be put to good use as revelatory life work. This three-fold pattern consists of Incarnation (the orphan stage), Initiation, (tests and work of the soul) and Enchantment, (liberation, freedom, and healing). The first layer, Incarnation, is represented by the primordial orphan, the protagonist in the ‘Fool’s Journey’ or ‘Hero’s Journey,’ portrayed often in Jungian and transpersonal psychology as the beginning stage of life. The Orphan represents new beginnings, actual birth, innocence, and the pure child within. A fairy tale will often begin with an orphaned baby or child, either by the death of the mother or orphaned through other circumstances. This phase mirrors the notion that by the virtue of our own birth, the umbilical that had connected us to the heavenly or spiritual origins of our Soul (The Divine Mother), is released or cut off, thereby setting us afoot upon the earth where we must find our Own Way. Along this path we seek the riches of meaning and destiny. This stage is often represented as The Fool, ruled by the planet Uranus, and governed by the number zero. The second layer, Initiation, fosters growth as one seeks to identify and conquer limitation or obstacle encountered upon the Earthly path. These challenges are fragments of a shattered past including past lives, and must be repaired or reshaped in order to renew the incarnation blue print at birth. In time, through initiation and hard work of the soul, reward, wholeness and repair will crown the individual. This Initiation profoundly shifts one’s life story, offering well-earned empowerment that may defeat and/or ally with the symbolic dragon, i.e. fears, limitations, and setbacks. This process is found in various Arcana cards such as The Magician, Justice, the Wheel of Fortune, The Hanged One, The Death Card and Temperance The third layer, Enchantment, liberates limiting constraints held within the individual’s soul pattern, illuminating an ‘Awakening,’ that may arrive from a sudden insight or miraculous moment that can transcend reality into revelation. This is the phase of life when everything must or can change. The experience may involve a ‘Divine Intervention’ such as a teacher, a person, an event, or even a powerful dream. We come to recognize that the odds seemingly stacked against us has been rooted from karmic patterns and may be released and freed in this lifetime. A catalytic rebirth becomes possible. The outcome is experienced as spiritual reward; Alchemy, Enchantment and Transformation. This third stage enchants or breaks a spell that had been hidden within the unconscious. In fairy tales, this enchantment phase is often personified by the appearance of a genie, a frog turning into a prince, a loving kiss that awakens a sleeping princess, or other magical events that reshape the story. Ultimately, we seek to embody The World Card, where we may heal with a renewed Saturn perspective. We recognize secret gifts, self-love, and creativity as we face obstacles with courage and willingness, and may realize through the astrological blueprint that the planet Saturn actually holds the Pattern of Potential Joy, the seed point of growth. We are born with a quest for ‘Enchantment.’ Renewal knocks upon the door of the Soul in pursuit of an Inner Light that may reveal the clearest way forward. In the Awakened Stage, the individual’s myth or story changes, reuniting one with Love, Service, and Joy. It is the empowerment and Evolution of The Fool’s Journey. Research and work with hundreds of clients over the years inspired me to create Power Mapping work. It's my wish to share more information about the Power Mapping/Karmic Imprint process that includes deep healing work including the placement of Saturn in the birth chart and its aspects to personal planets. We find that each individual is a protagonist in their very own Fairy Tale seeking the secrets that lie within the terrain of Destiny. Check out Power Mapping with Isha Lerner

  • New Moon in Libra: Embrace Love

For many this Equinox ~ New Moon marks the beginning of a New Year! Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year. The biblical name for this holiday is Yom Teruah, literally "day of shouting or blasting." This New Moon in Libra offers harmonious indications, balanced communication, relationship harmony, and social gatherings, marking a beginning filled with sweet reverie. The New Moon is gently illumined at 2+ Libra. Below, is the Sabian Symbol for today’s New Moon, written by Dane Rudhyar from his forever inspired book: An Astrological Mandala. LIBRA 3°: THE DAWN OF A NEW DAY REVEALS EVERYTHING CHANGED. KEYNOTE: The ever-present possibility of beginning again on a new foundation of values. This symbol hardly needs to be interpreted. It can be related to the process of true Initiation: (1) The experience of the undying Form of perfection; (2) The release of the energy incorporated in the Form in order to reach "That-which-is-beyond-form-and-name"; (3) The re-embodiment of energy in a new creative Act. He or she is ready to act significantly in the sphere of culture and social togetherness, the sphere in which an individual, aware of his archetypal essence and planetary function, can play his true role (dharma). In a basic sense it is always a new role, for no cycle repeats itself as far as its contents are concerned. The person who plays this role is always potentially an INNOVATOR. Wow! I believe we are ready for this goodness! We’re given a ‘green light’ to reach out to friends and family, rethink goals and purpose, put to use the earnest goodwill of the Heart, and fortify dreams for the future. The New Moon is opposite the expansive and goodwill planet Jupiter at 3 degrees Aries. This is perfectly aligned to challenge our sense of faith, ushering in a good time to seek new ideas, explore opportunities, and reach for the highest good. Do be discerning though! Jupiter rules the ‘Wheel of Fortune’ card in the Tarot, symbolically offering opportunity to hop on the wheel and take a ride! Mercury now in retrograde through October 2nd, is conjunct Venus in Virgo. We are given treat. In spite of the retrograde, Venus, ruler of Libra, sprinkles ‘love dust’ on endeavors and supports the harmony indicated by this New Moon. Whatever you have in mind for the future…take note of these lovely aspects. Plant autumn and winter flowers…in the Southern Hemisphere…Spring is here and everything is coming up New! Seasonal changes always bring on a sudden shift in body chemistry. Take good care and nurture, restore and eat well. Get exercise and refrain from poor habits. Truly, these changes of season do have a profound effect on our biology. We, like the earth, are shedding and seeding. I wish the very best to all.

  • What Exactly is an Archetype?

"From the seed grows a root, then a sprout; from the sprout, the seedling leaves; from the leaves, the stem; around the stem, the branches; at the top, the flower....We cannot say that the seed causes the growth, nor that the soil does. We say that the potentialities for growth lie within the seed, in mysterious life forces, which, when properly fostered, take on certain forms." ~ M. C. Richards All myths and icons are potential patterns in the psyche of humanity, yet each individual activates these images in their own way. There are archetypal patterns which are universal, and patterns which are personally activated. Archetypes can be called blueprints. These are energies that are contained within the seed of the psyche. How the seed is cultivated determines the way in which the seed grows into its actual form. Several energies may be present or one major archetype may blossom at any given stage in an individual’s life. Stages of life determine new elements that may be forming within the psyche, and these new potentials give rise to different patterns and visions of one's true nature. We might call it our psychological landscape. It is what goes on beneath the surface. This becomes our individual expression of the cultural archetypes reflected in our culture. Our past is etched in stone, so to speak, as aspects of the collective Mind and the Divine Images we hold as a Mass Logos. Archetypal Consciousness has two ways of manifesting. It manifests on the personal level and on the collective level. From the view of the personal experience we are able to tune into ourselves. It is here that we access our inner consciousness. We come to understand the under-lining of our dynamic self in action. If we have a deep challenge in our life, the patterns that we identify can help us to respond creatively to the core issue so that we may not have to repeat our pain and mistakes over and over again. Often there is an archetype that is ruling or governing these emotions and impulses, whether we are in harmony or not. The Tarot, specifically the twenty-two cards in the Major Arcana, reflect powerful archetypal images that guide the individual through various stages of life experience. Other ways to identify our archetypal patterns are through icons, dreams, visions, song, art, wishes, and passions.

  • Vibrational Energy ~ A Personal Story

Magnetic energy ~ Devic Consciousness ~ a quickened magnetic field of higher vibrational energy and light ~ Subtle matter ~ astral matter …all fields of vibration are magnetic and expansive. Movement at this level is relatively fluid compared to the dense physical plane. The slower moving, dense physical matter is referred to as the Atomic Plane. The quicker moving matter can be considered the Devic Realm, or simply Higher Vibrational Energy. Our universal template is composed of multi-dimensional consciousness from angels, plant devas, flowers, sound, color, and the magnetic force field. This quickened magnetic field is pure energy and light, and it is Soul Awakening, and I believe it to be a royal gift of multi-dimensional Truth. I’d like to share a very real experience. Among other intervening experiences…this one is most special. It is 1990 and I just arrived at the coast in Oregon where I will continue to write the text for Inner Child Cards. My cabin rests on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I recall the force of elemental intrusion that had shocked me out of my sleep the last time I stayed there. I lay my bags and books on a table and arrange my writing desk just the way I want it. I put away the groceries that I brought for my two-week writing retreat. I can’t say why, but I lie down on the bed in this one room cabin and fall asleep. In my sleep I am once again ruffled as if someone is on the bed with me… I resist, and then I feel surrender…soon I am embraced in a sphere of blue, a blue I cannot describe, and will never see again. The blue sphere becomes smaller and smaller until it is a jeweled dot of energy and then, I am in it. I am zinging about the room with quick and blissful movement. I fly over the ocean and then back again to my room. I also know, simultaneously, I am lying on my bed. The duality of this reality does not disturb me. When I return to my body it is a soft landing and these words are heard,” You have just experienced the joy of the universe. It is a permanent force of light that you may tap into whenever you wish. It will never betray you.” My life felt different from that day on…Awakened, I take a long walk on the beach and I am certain I saw a mermaid sitting on a rock that day. Finding our way through life changing events can prove enchanting and mysterious, offering opportunity to explore the responsibility of what it means to embody a mystical experience. I've understood in my life that I must align my life so as not to get carried away by the awe of these experiences, instead, actualize the gift of this physical life. True knowledge can only live within the individual when, alongside the aspirations for higher consciousness, a full measure of willingness to fulfill a destiny is sought. A journey into elemental consciousness can be life changing. When we become kindred with the light of vibrational energy, something shifts deeply within the cellular body. It is a visceral experience. It will enchant the soul forever. I urge everyone who has had a mystical experience to honor your own Truth. Remain humble and full of gratitude...allow this special gift to assist your Human Experience.

  • Chakra Healing with Flower Essences

We've connected various flower essences to each chakra for healing purposes. We balance our Chakra centers and 'Chi Power' with a myriad of modalities such as yoga, meditation, exercise, massage, therapy, rest, and healthy eating. We may also utilize 'Vibrational Healing' or 'Energy Medicine.' In my practice I use the healing modality Flower Essence Therapy, using flower elixirs to aid emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Flowers are like little mirrors of body and soul, each one carrying an energetic pattern that reflects special attributes for healing. Each flower has a Plant Signature, a system studied by early botanists as a way to explore and understand the medicinal qualities of plants, flowers, and herbs. Each pattern composition offers a gift to humanity from the very soul of nature. Over a span of hundreds of years, we’ve learned the many benefits of plant medicine and elixirs: those that heal the maladies of each living being. First Chakra: Healing Flowers: Red iFulva Iris, Angelica, Shooting Star, Rose. Located at the base of the spine and the back of the knees. Its Sanskrit name is Muladhara, meaning, “root support.” This Chakra connects one to the earth and reveals patterns related to issues of insecurity, fear, greed, safety, and prosperity. When healthy one is vital, grounded, feeling safe in the world. It's the root from which true health, well-being, and empowerment grows. Second Chakra: Healing Flowers: Hibiscus, Wild Iris, Pomegranate, Indian Paintbrush Located between the pubic bone and the naval. Its Sanskrit name is Svadhishthana, meaning “dwelling place of the self.” The patterns of imbalance associated with this energy center are creative stagnation, fear, sterility, lust, inertia, and unconscious somatic memories. When in healthy alignment, you will be able to source energy for creativity, movement, procreation, desire, pleasure, and relationships. You will be able to freely express your wants and needs in relationships, and pleasure will be a priority. Third Chakra: Healing Flowers: Sunflower, Buttercup, Wall Flower, Saguaro Cactus Located in the solar plexus, the lumbar spine, and the umbilicus. Its Sanskrit name is Manipura, meaning “city of jewels.” This chakra is also associated with digestion.
